About Us
We are Carpe Diem Tours, and we run a huge variety of tours and experiences across seven European cities - from food tours to cooking classes, ghost tours, and skip-the-line tickets to some of Europe's biggest attractions - welcoming around 100,000 guests a year. A huge share of those guests find us a third-party platform platform, making this role one of the most commercially important roles in the business.
The Role
The Distribution & E-commerce Manager owns every one of these third-party channels: OTAs, aggregators, resellers, and online retail partners. GetYourGuide, Viator, Airbnb Experiences, Klook, Tiqets, Musement, Civitatis, Headout - and the next platform nobody's talking about yet. If a guest can book an experience with us somewhere other than our own website, this role is responsible for making sure we're visible, compelling and converting there.
In addition, you'll work regularly with Ventrata, our reservation system. Ventrata is what connects us by API to every third-party website we sell on. You will be responsible for the product setup and connectivity, and will work closely with the CFO and revenue manager on product pricing.
You'll report to our Senior Marketing Manager and have a Distribution Assistant working with you.
Who We're Looking For
- Creative. You see the angle others miss in how a product is listed, positioned and sold.
- A sharp decision-maker. You're comfortable making the call quickly with the data in front of you.
- A hungry salesperson. You're genuinely driven by revenue and motivated by hitting a number.
- Ambitious. You want to grow, and you want the channels to grow with you.
- A hunter. You're not waiting for opportunities to land in your inbox. You're out finding the next platform, the next partner, the next conversation that turns into revenue.
- A capable manager. You'll have a Distribution Assistant working with you, and you know how to get the best out of them.
- A natural relationship-builder. Excellent at managing the key partnerships that drive the business; equally at home in an account review or at a networking event.
- Comfortable in the detail. Reservation systems, API connections, product set-up. You don't need to be technical, but you must feel comfortable with conversations about how the connection works.
- AI-savvy. You've already built AI into the way you work, and you know how to utilise it to solve problems, analyse data, streamline processes and move faster than the competition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Bring
Most Important:
- You've driven sales through third-party platforms: marketplaces, OTAs, ticketing platforms, resellers, or any environment where you're competing for visibility on a third-party platform. You understand how a listing ranks, how it converts, and how to make a channel work harder for you.
Also Essential:
- Previous managerial experience. You'll be working with a Distribution Assistant, so you must know how to delegate to and develop someone.
A Bonus, But Not a Dealbreaker:
- Experience in the tourism sector, hands-on work with the major OTAs, and time spent using a reservation or booking system, such as Ventrata, Bokún, Rezdy, FareHarbor or anything similar. If you've done distribution in travel before, then your profile is ideal. If you've done it in an adjacent marketplace, we absolutely want to hear from you.
What You'll Own
- Revenue and performance across every third-party channel: OTAs, aggregators, resellers and online retail partners.
- Ventrata set-up and pricing. Ventrata is the connection point between us and every platform we sell on. You'll own the set-up - how products are built and configured - and the pricing that reaches each channel through the API, making sure all third-party information is accurate. You will work closely with the CFO on pricing.
- Product page copy and photography on our own website. Not the whole site, just the product pages, and specifically the words and the images on them. It's the same discipline as an OTA listing: the copy and the photos are what turn a browser into a booking.
- Growth within our existing platforms. Getting more out of every partner we already work with: better placement, campaign inclusion, promotional slots, new product launches, preferred-supplier status. Knowing what's available on each platform and making sure we're well-placed.
- New channel development. Finding, pitching and onboarding platforms we don't sell on yet - from the obvious gaps to the regional players and the ones nobody's heard of. This is a significant part of the role.
- Relationships with OTA and partner account managers. Building genuine relationships, not just having quarterly check-ins.
- Listing management and optimisation. Content, imagery, inclusions, pricing presentation and ranking. Making sure every product is visible, compelling and converting on every platform we sell through.
- Channel mix and margin. Deciding where each product belongs, how it's positioned, and how to maximize each channel.
- Data and performance monitoring. Owning the metrics that matter, from conversion rates to ranking position to contribution, and converting data into action.
- Being out in the market. Conferences, trade events and industry gatherings across Europe, meeting existing partners face to face and scoping out new distribution.
- Leading and developing your Distribution Assistant.
