Role Description
ATR Safari is looking for a detail-oriented Distribution & Enquiry Qualification Specialist to join our commercial team. This role sits at the intersection of our distribution network and our sales pipeline, making sure every incoming enquiry is accurately assessed, prioritised, and routed to the right person for a fast, high quality response. You'll help protect the efficiency of our sales funnel by filtering out low-fit enquiries early, while ensuring genuine prospects reach our safari consultants with the right context attached.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution Support
- Assess new enquiries received through any of our income channels and distribute to the appropriate safari expert
- Liaise with head of distribution to resolve discrepancies in listings, grading, or enquiry details
- Assist with onboarding new distribution partners and maintaining partner documentation and agreements
- Track distribution channel performance and flag opportunities or issues to the Head of Distribution

Enquiry Qualification
- Review and triage inbound enquiries received via web forms, phone, email, and partner referrals
- Apply qualification criteria (budget, travel dates, group size, destination interest, trip type) to assess enquiry quality and fit
- Route qualified enquiries to the appropriate safari expert or sales team member, with clear notes and context when needed
- Identify and filter out low-intent, duplicate, or unqualified enquiries
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date enquiry records and status in the CRM
- Follow up via email and/or call on incomplete enquiries to gather the information needed to qualify them
Sales Team Inbox Cover
- Monitor inboxes from sales team members on annual leave
- Respond to clients and assist in progressing sales as required during this period, keeping the
- Support reporting on enquiry volume, qualification rates, and conversion metrics
Client Loyalty Reach-out
- In periods of low workload, assist with reaching out to repeat clients in order to increase re-engagement rates
- Participate in the design of client loyalty programs and strategies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and GX teams to ensure a smooth handoff from enquiry to booking
- Share feedback with head of Distribution on enquiry quality, grading accuracy and lead-source performance
- Support reporting on enquiry volume, qualification rates, and conversion metrics

Requirements
- Genuine interest in travel, safari, and African destinations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and comfort working with structured criteria
- Basic proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) or a willingness to learn quickly
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) for tracking and reporting
- Able to manage multiple enquiries and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- A degree in tourism, hospitality, business, experience in sales or tourism industry, as well as product knowledge in African safaris are a plus but not required

- Base Salary: From £35,000 (depending on experience)
