Insurance Distribution Manager
Location: London / Hybrid
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Nashrock is delighted to be working with a leading global insurer to recruit a Distribution Manager for its Corporate & Commercial business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of the organisation’s distribution strategy, with a particular focus on broker engagement, market development, and profitable growth.
Working closely with underwriting, client management, marketing, operations, and management information teams, the Distribution Manager will develop strong relationships with key broker partners, increase awareness of the insurer’s capabilities and proposition, and identify opportunities to strengthen existing trading relationships and develop new business.
The successful candidate will be commercially minded, relationship-focused, and comfortable combining market-facing activity with data and performance insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Distribution and senior leadership teams in the development and implementation of the distribution strategy.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and strategic trading partners.
- Increase broker awareness of the organisation’s capabilities, underwriting appetite, products, and value proposition.
- Work closely with underwriting teams to ensure broker activity and distribution strategies align with underwriting appetite and commercial objectives.
- Develop and manage strategic broker plans, initiatives, and engagement priorities.
- Monitor agreed actions, KPIs, and performance against broker plans.
- Identify new business and market development opportunities across products, classes, geographies, markets, and distribution channels.
- Support the development of new and digital routes to market where appropriate.
- Work with MI teams to analyse broker activity, trading relationships, conversion, pipeline, cross-sell opportunities, and performance trends.
- Use data and market insight to identify opportunities and make practical recommendations.
- Support product launches, proposition development, and the communication of underwriting appetite to broker partners.
- Coordinate and manage broker meetings, events, and regular market engagement.
- Ensure actions arising from broker interactions are effectively captured and progressed.
- Contribute to business planning, distribution strategy, and ongoing market development initiatives.

About You
You will ideally have:
- A minimum of 7 years' experience within the insurance industry, with significant experience in a commercial insurance environment.
- A proven track record of developing and managing broker relationships.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and/or specialty insurance markets.
- An understanding of underwriting principles, broker distribution channels, and commercial insurance metrics.
- Experience working alongside underwriting teams to support profitable growth and communicate appetite and propositions.
- Experience contributing to broker planning, distribution strategy, business planning, or performance reviews.
- The confidence to represent an insurer in the market and engage effectively with brokers and senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships, initiatives, and priorities.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
