Your new company A market-leading distribution and fulfilment organisation is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to join its leadership team during an exciting period of growth and operational development. Your new role Reporting into the senior operations team, you will lead a leadership structure of Supervisors and Team Leaders, with overall responsibility for approximately 70 colleagues across a fast-paced, multi-shift distribution operation. You will be accountable for operational performance across productivity, service, quality, safety and colleague engagement, whilst driving a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance. This is a highly visible role suited to a strong people leader who enjoys developing teams, improving capability and delivering operational results through others.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop Supervisors, Team Leaders and operational colleagues.
- Drive performance across productivity, service, quality and safety KPIs.
- Create a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
- Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Develop leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
- Manage employee relations matters including attendance, conduct and performance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational standards.
- Act as the senior operational lead in the absence of the senior manager.

What you'll need to succeed We are interested in speaking with experienced Distribution Managers, Operations Managers, Warehouse Managers and Fulfilment Managers who can demonstrate:
- Strong leadership experience within a warehouse, logistics, fulfilment or distribution environment.
- Experience managing large teams through Supervisors and Team Leaders.
- A proven track record of improving operational performance and employee engagement.
- Strong KPI management and performance improvement experience.
- Experience coaching and developing leaders and frontline teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on leadership style and passion for continuous improvement.
- Lean or Continuous Improvement experience would be advantageous.
