Mov Limited, founded in 2014 by Nicola Allieta, is a London-based film production, distribution, and consulting company. Mov Limited focuses on digital distribution strategies, working with major platforms like iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, and Netflix. Over the years, the company has expanded its digital distribution services to various international markets, facilitating the distribution of over 1,500 films annually. Mov Limited also developed its own label, Direct to Digital (D2D), which empowers filmmakers and content owners by offering a comprehensive service for releasing their films on digital platforms, while retaining full rights and transparency.
General Information on the Role:
The Distribution Operations Intern will play an integral role in supporting Mov Limited's growing digital distribution efforts. The intern will assist in various administrative aspects of digital distribution, business development, contract management, and financial reporting. This full-time, remote internship provides a hands-on experience in the film distribution industry, with potential for growth within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Library & Database Management: Help manage a library of over 1,500 films and series, coordinating their distribution across TVOD (Transactional Video On Demand), EST (Electronic Sell Through), and SVOD platforms (Streaming Video on Demand). Keep the library database clean and current in our in-house management system, including formatting rights-holder data.
- Digital Distribution Management: Assist in the execution of digital distribution plans across platforms such as iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Play. Maintain release calendars and windows across EST, TVOD, and SVOD, updating dates as they shift and keeping internal trackers current.
- Contract Management: Support the creation and review of contracts for Direct to Digital clients, ensuring proper legal and technical compliance.
- Reporting: Generate weekly performance reports for Italian distributors and track VOD title performance.
- Business Development: Conduct market research, explore new business opportunities, and assist with UK, EU, and Italian grant applications.
- Financial Coordination: Collaborate with the finance team on managing invoices, royalty payments, and financial documents related to Direct to Digital contracts. Support recurring billing setups (e.g. Stripe), track invoices and royalty payments, and flag discrepancies.
- Marketing & Social Media Strategy: Work closely with the team on future marketing and social media initiatives for Direct to Digital.

Minimum Skills Required:
- Fluency in English and Italian.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- A passion for film, digital distribution, and the entertainment industry.

Preferable Skills Required:
- Basic coding knowledge (e.g., Python, SQL) for managing and automating data reports.
- Experience or interest in digital marketing and social media strategy.
- Familiarity with VOD platforms such as iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Play.
- Experience in financial document management (e.g., invoicing, contracts).
- Previous experience in business development or market research is a plus.
