Distribution Operations Supervisor – Huws Gray (Sudbury)

We're looking for an Distribution Operations Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the branch. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills, work with a great team and build a rewarding career with one of the UK's leading independent builders' merchants.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll oversee the smooth operation of the branch while helping to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Supporting the day-to-day operational management of the branch
  • Working closely with Branch Management to ensure effective branch performance
  • Leading, motivating and supporting the team
  • Providing outstanding customer service in every interaction
  • Coordinating the loading and unloading of vehicles
  • Supporting an efficient and effective delivery schedule
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock control processes
  • Developing and maintaining strong product knowledge
  • Promoting and maintaining a safe, secure and organised working environment
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational performance and customer experience
  • Sharing ideas and feedback with the management team to drive continuous improvement
