Job Title

Distribution Sales Manager (South West/ Wales)

Location

UK, home-based with regular travel to distributor and customer sites.

Job Summary

The Distribution Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth through the development and management of distributor relationships across a defined territory. The role will focus on supporting and growing the CompAir brand through Ingersoll Rand's distribution network, working closely with partners to increase market penetration, identify new business opportunities and deliver revenue, margin and customer service objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors while identifying opportunities to expand the distribution network.
  • Drive sales growth, profitability and market share for the CompAir brand through effective territory and account management.
  • Build and deliver distributor sales and growth plans aligned to business objectives.
  • Manage sales pipelines, forecasts, budgets and quotation activity, providing accurate reporting and business insight.
  • Support distributors with product, commercial and technical guidance to help convert opportunities and improve customer experience.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial agreements and new business opportunities in line with margin and growth expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to communicate customer needs, market trends, competitive insight and distributor feedback.
  • Represent Ingersoll Rand and the CompAir brand professionally at customer meetings, distributor reviews, site visits and industry activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in distribution sales, channel management or account management within an industrial, engineering, manufacturing or related environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage successful distributor relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience of sales forecasting, budgeting, pipeline management and margin improvement.
  • Technical knowledge of compressed air, vacuum, flow control, industrial equipment or related technologies is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel across the UK to support distributors, customers and business activities. The role will be home-based, with travel to Ingersoll Rand sites and distributor locations as required.
