About Our Team
Europe's data centers, factories, and connected devices all run on silicon — and Semtech's EMEA IC Sales team is the engine getting that silicon into the hands of the customers building tomorrow's infrastructure.
We partner with direct accounts, manufacturer's representatives, and distribution partners to bring our signal integrity, wireless/IoT, and circuit protection solutions into industrial, infrastructure, and consumer markets across the continent.
Job Summary
This isn't channel management — it's strategic empire-building!
As Distribution Sales Manager, you carry the seniority and influence of a Regional Sales Manager, but your superpower is leverage: instead of managing direct sellers, you'll orchestrate 3–4 strategic distribution partners who become your force multiplier across an entire continent.
Think about the scale of impact: thousands of Tier 3 customers, reached not one by one, but through partners you've trained, coached, and held accountable to be the best version of themselves. You'll also keep a hand in supporting demand fulfilment for major Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts — meaning you're never far from where the biggest deals are happening.
This is a role for someone who wants outsized commercial impact without the overhead of a direct sales army — where one brilliant relationship, one sharp QBR, one well-timed intervention can move millions in revenue.
If you want a seat where your strategic instincts directly shape Semtech's growth trajectory across Europe, this is it.
Responsibilities
- Own $30M+ in distribution revenue — full quota accountability, full strategic control over how you grow it.
- Run 3–4 strategic distribution partnerships like multi-million dollar accounts — because that's exactly what they are.
- Drive performance through sharp, data-backed QBRs and scorecards — and have the courage to make the hard calls when a partner isn't delivering.
- Build distributor capability that compounds over time — training, coaching, and influencing partner hiring and investment decisions so they grow with you, not around you.
- See around corners — surface market shifts 12–18 months before competitors and feed insights straight into Semtech's product roadmap.
- Forecast like it's a craft — deliver >90% accuracy through disciplined pipeline and backlog management.
- Negotiate with confidence — resolve complex commission structures and territory conflicts while protecting margin and the relationship.
- Rally the team around you — pull in FAEs, product management, and marketing to chase down the big opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
