Distributor & Key Account Development Manager

How often does a sales role come along where the product literally can't be copied? Our client is a long-established European manufacturer and the global leader in specialist industrial stretch film - every single product internationally patented, produced by a privately owned, debt-free business with serious cash behind it and a customer base spanning Europe and the US. Rock-solid, independent, and playing a game no one else can enter.

Forget racing to the bottom on price. Here, you sell results you can actually measure: less plastic, less energy, less labour, lower CO2, and stronger, more stable pallets. It's a consultative, technical, value-led sale - exactly the kind of conversation buyers are hungry to have right now, when everyone's under pressure to cut cost, waste and be environmentally friendly at the same time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why this is a genuinely brilliant move

  • You won't be rep number fifty. This is a small, tight-knit UK team, which means real autonomy and a direct line straight to senior leadership.
  • There's a large training budget behind you, too.
  • And here's how much they back their people: the second-stage interview is two fully expensed days at the company's European HQ - see the technology up close, meet the team, and sit down with the owner. Very few businesses invest that much in you before an offer's even on the table.
