Richmond Schools FA is a grassroots football association serving young players across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. We’re committed to developing confident, technically capable footballers in a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment, with a growing focus on the girls’ game.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions every Friday
- Lead the squad on Saturday matchdays, including team selection, in-game management and post-match feedback
- Create a positive, inclusive team culture where every player feels supported and motivated
- Support individual player development and track progress across the season
- Communicate clearly and professionally with players and parents/carers
- Uphold Richmond Schools FA’s safeguarding, conduct and equality standards at all times
- Liaise with coordinators and other coaches on scheduling, fixtures and squad matters

Essential Requirements
- UEFA C License coaching qualification or equivalent, or working towards
- Valid FA Safeguarding Children certificate
- Valid FA Emergency First Aid in Football certificate
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one)
- A genuine commitment to the development and wellbeing of young female players
- Reliability and availability on Friday evenings and Saturdays throughout the season

Desirable
- UEFA B qualification
- Previous experience coaching youth or girls’ football
- Understanding of long-term player development principles
