The Role – DM Europe
Lead store teams in our Outlet and Full price channels across multiple European Countries to consistently deliver KPI’s. Implement the retail strategy for aligned area to drive performance & deliver commercial targets. Motivate and develop high performing and engaged store teams to maximise trading opportunities whilst consistently delivering and protecting the brand experience.
- Lead performance of area, lead team to implement appropriate actions to achieve budget and targets whilst controlling costs. Key measures include, sales, conversion, CSAT and all controllable costs
- Deliver area sales, margin, overhead and consumer satisfaction targets in line trading plans and profit growth targets to secure delivery of the retail region plan
- Plan, review and take appropriate action maximise commercial and people opportunities and mitigate risk for overall area performance
- Oversee the execution the seasonal trade plans in stores, ensure the successful delivery of communications and to deliver a seamless consumer experience
- Deliver the brand and consumer experience through Store Manager and teams, review and respond to insight and reporting to deliver desired satisfaction, retail standards and experience in-line with brand objectives to deliver a consistent experience
- Create the conditions that deliver a highly competent, energetic, engaged and motivated workforce of both Store Managers and wider Retail teams, who are committed and aligned to delivery outcomes
- Develop and support teams to achieve high performance and progression within the company and ensure there is clear successions plans in place whilst addressing any performance concerns with professionalism and speed
- Support Store Managers through visible leadership, demonstrate and role modelling behaviours to lead and manage teams to deliver required performance
- Keep abreast of industry trends, innovations and influence change as appropriate
- Actively share learnings, successes and best practice with peers / business

What you’ll bring
- Extensive travel across Europe – min 3 days in the field conducting store visits to drive performance
- Language skills – As our HQ is based in the UK, it is essential candidates have excellent speaking and written English skills in order to clearly communicate with line manager and business partners.
- Other languages are desirable
- Must be able to manage time effectively and be a clear communicator, able to balance multiple priorities whilst maintaining focus on driving performance
- Experience of store fleet expansion in European countries is desirable.
- Significant retail management experience and knowledge of the retail industry
- Significant experience of managing a team to deliver results
- Experience of managing P&L account
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Experience of delivering budgets and targets
- Good knowledge of and experience in managing people processes
- Good performance management skills – maximizing individual performance to deliver results
- Good understanding of consumer and product segmentation
- Very good understanding of consumer and product segmentation
- Excellent financial ability, experience with Management Accounts, Budgets, Forecasts, Sales, Margin,
- Good Leadership skills, ability to influence, challenge, work collaboratively and engage teams at all levels
- Ability to problem solve and manage conflict situations
