Are you a passionate and skilled nurse looking to specialise in continence care? Join our dynamic District Nursing teams and play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life for patients living with bladder and bowel conditions.
About the Role
As a District Nursing Continence Specialist Nurse, you will provide expert assessment, advice, and evidence-based interventions for individuals with bladder & bowel conditions within the community settings. Working both independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will support patients to maintain dignity, independence, and wellbeing in their own homes or care settings.
This is a rewarding opportunity to develop specialist expertise while contributing to high-quality, patient-centred care across our community services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide information, training, and support, to promote effective patient care and discharge from community nursing services.
- Provide expert assessment of patients in a community environment, including specialist continence assessment.
- Act as an information and educational resource to all members of the District Nursing service.
- Lead/deputise a service improvement project to promote continence within the service in line with national guidelines.
