Capital Goods District Sales Manager for the North and Scotland

DeLaval is now looking for a Capital Goods District Sales Manager

As a Capital Goods District Sales Manager you will be expected to take responsibility for the sales process and development of our dealer network in the North of England and Scotland.

The successful candidate will be located in the area of responsibility and is expected to progress and energize our capital goods business through our network of dedicated dealers. This is a very exciting opportunity for the right person with huge potential in the area to explore. You will be expected to manage and develop your dealers, ensure the sales process runs smoothly and to the satisfaction of our customers. Some national and international travel will be required for meetings and training. This position will report to the GB Country Manager.

Your Main Tasks Will Be

  • Develop, coach and train dealers and sales personnel
  • Plan individual and dealers activities
  • Set targets and incentivize the dealers
  • Monitor and support dealer performance
  • Support dealers with project design and layout
  • Build long term partnership with dealers and customers
  • Ensure dealerships are staffed to area potential or area is sized to match dealer commitment
  • Fulfill district sales and profitability targets
  • Strong ambassador of DeLaval brand

Your Qualifications And Personal Attributes

  • Confident, business minded and commercially aware
  • 3+ years of relevant sales and/or account management experience
  • Solid understanding of cow traffic management and barn design
  • Knowledge of Robotic Milking Systems and Dairy Farm Management
  • Higher level education
  • People management and influencing skills
  • Good communication and training skills at all levels
  • Ability to build strong relationships/partnerships
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Structured and well organized
  • Fluent in English with good communication skills at all levels, demonstrating excellent verbal, written and strong computer literacy.
  • Full UK driver’s license
