Activity Coordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and creative Activity Coordinator to join our dedicated team on the mental health inpatient wards (Magnolia/Mulberry and Rowan Ward) within Farnham Road Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the recovery and wellbeing of adults living with mental health conditions. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, organising, and delivering a range of meaningful therapeutic and recreational activities that promote engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing for our service users.

As an Activity Coordinator, you will:

  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team — including nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and support staff — to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating ward environment that supports recovery and enhances quality of life.
  • Plan, develop, and facilitate a wide range of group and one-to-one activities tailored to the needs and interests of service users.
  • Encourage patient participation and social inclusion through creative, physical, and therapeutic sessions such as art, music, relaxation, exercise, games, and life skills.
  • Support service users to build confidence, self-esteem, and independence through structured and informal engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing and therapy teams to ensure activities align with care plans and recovery goals.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and motivating atmosphere on the ward.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, feedback, and progress.
  • Support with orientation of new patients and promote engagement from admission through to discharge.
  • Assist with community integration and recovery-focused initiatives, such as outings, skill-building programmes, or creative workshops.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
