Divisional Accountant - Belfast
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a leading retail organisation to recruit a Divisional Accountant to join their finance function based in Belfast.
The Company:
Our client is a highly successful and well-established organisation with a significant presence across Northern Ireland and the wider UK. As part of the continued development of their finance function, they are seeking an experienced Accountant to take responsibility for the financial performance and reporting of a number of business units.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a commercially focused role, working closely with operational management and the wider finance leadership team.
The Rewards:
As the successful Divisional Accountant, you will receive:
- £45,000 - £62,500 base salary + extensive benefits package
- Annual bonus (10%)
- Flexible/Hybrid working (3 days office based)
- Company car

The Role:
As the successful Divisional Accountant, you will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and will be responsible for:
- Overseeing monthly management accounts, P&L and Balance Sheet reviews
- Analysing financial performance, profitability and working capital across the division
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
- Business partnering with operational management to provide commercial financial insight
- Ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting and effective month-end processes

The Person:
The successful Divisional Accountant will meet the following criteria:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Strong commercial acumen
- Strong IT & excel skills
