Overview

Join Gallagher Specialty's Marine & Aviation Solutions team in a senior client-facing role supporting major Marine Hull clients, brokers and insurers across the London and International Markets. As a Divisional Director, you'll combine technical expertise, relationship management, and market insight to help deliver solutions for complex risks while supporting the continued growth of a well-established specialty business.

You'll work across the full insurance lifecycle, helping shape market presentations, support placements and deliver a seamless client experience. You'll also contribute to business planning, operational improvements, and wider divisional objectives.

You'll be part of a close-knit, vibrant, and technically focused team known for its collaborative approach and market expertise. The role is centred on technical placement activity, market engagement, and solution development, offering an opportunity to further deepen your Marine Hull knowledge while working alongside respected specialists in the sector.

How You'll Make An Impact

You'll work closely with clients and brokers to understand their requirements and translate complex risks into clear, effective market presentations. Supporting renewal and placement activity, you'll help deliver solutions efficiently while maintaining high standards of service, documentation, and market engagement.

You'll act as a key contact for clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders, coordinating information, managing queries, and supporting negotiations. You'll also contribute to divisional goals by identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance service delivery and support business growth.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Managing relationships with direct and wholesale Marine Hull clients.
  • Supporting renewals, placements, and market negotiations.
  • Coordinating information for RFP and tender submissions.
  • Working with finance and processing teams to support client servicing and financial disciplines.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Supporting operational plans and business growth objectives.

About You

  • Experience within the London and International Market Marine Hull insurance sector.
  • Experience working directly with Marine Hull clients and brokers.
  • The ability to explain complex insurance matters to a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple client priorities and placement deadlines.
  • The ability to assess challenges, identify solutions and make informed decisions.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience using industry platforms such as PPL, Crystal, IHS (Seaweb) and transactional broking systems.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
  • A focus on delivering client outcomes while maintaining regulatory and documentation standards.
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
