Finance Director – Divisional
Eton Bridge Partners has exclusively partnered with a large, complex waste management organisation to appoint a commercially focused Finance Director. This is a high-impact leadership role supporting a sizeable business unit, partnering closely with the CFO and Managing Director to drive performance, improve profitability, and enhance finance capability across a diverse operational footprint.
The Role
Acting as a trusted partner, you will lead financial strategy, planning and performance across a significant business area. Key areas of focus will include:
- Driving business performance, cost efficiency and productivity initiatives
- Improving profitability and commercial outcomes across a portfolio of long-term customer contracts and commercial arrangements
- Leading the continued evolution of the finance function, operating model and team capability
- Supporting strategic decision-making, investment appraisal, risk management and resource allocation
- Partnering closely with operational, commercial and functional leaders to deliver measurable business improvement

The position carries leadership responsibility for a sizeable finance team and sits at the heart of a fast-paced, performance-focused environment.
The Individual
We are looking for an emerging Finance Director or established Head of Finance with:
- ACA qualification
- Experience operating within a complex, asset intensive organisation.
- Experience working with long term service contracts
- Strong commercial acumen and experience supporting operational performance, profitability and long-term customer relationships
- A track record of driving change, efficiency and financial improvement
- The credibility and influencing skills to challenge and support senior stakeholders
You will combine intellectual curiosity with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and be comfortable operating in a dynamic and evolving environment.
