Job Opportunity: Governance & Quality Manager
Can you lead, innovate, articulate, and energize via knowledge, skills, and your personality? An opportunity has arisen to join the Urgent & Integrated Division to support the division’s governance and quality processes to ensure that every patient receives the best experience of care that we can provide.
About the Role
As a key member of our division and Trust-wide Quality Groups, you will lead the division to maintain and develop a system of clinical governance management as part of an integrated organizational governance framework and promote a patient-centered, learning, and safety culture across all services provided by the Division. The Governance & Quality Manager will ensure high-quality, safe patient care by leading risk management, audit, and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist advice to support the Divisional Managers to meet quality standards, risk, and incident management standards appropriate to their specialty.
- Support with incident management and investigation in line with the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework in line with organizational plans.
- Lead the Division in all aspects of risk management as part of the Division’s implementation of Clinical Governance and quality to ensure the Division meets its obligations in relation to Trust local and national standards (e.g., relevant standards appertaining to Care Quality Commission Standards, the NHSE Patient Safety Incident Response Framework - PSIRF, etc.).
- Lead, maintain, and develop processes and systems within the Division to ensure delivery of high-quality care. This includes embedding robust governance arrangements in line with the Corporate Governance Framework which ensures standardization and consistency across policies, templates, reporting, and escalation processes.

Qualifications and Skills
- Working knowledge of the NHS and the language of healthcare.
- Ability to work independently, work to deadlines, and converse comfortably with a range of healthcare professionals.
- Ability to present and compile reports.
