About the Role

A senior marketing leader working alongside the Head of Marketing, to help lead and develop marketing across 40+ events.

This person will play a critical role in transforming the capability of the department and helping build the marketing engine required to support their huge ambition.

Key Focus Areas

  • Help shape and execute the overall marketing strategy.
  • Raise the standard of marketing planning and execution across the portfolio.
  • Strengthen processes, systems, technology, and accountability.
  • Improve marketing performance and consistency across 40+ events.
  • Develop and coach the existing marketing team.
  • Identify capability gaps and help build the right team structure.
  • Bring best practice and new ideas from outside the business.
  • Improve the connection between Marketing, Delegate Sales, Sponsorship Sales, and Production.
  • Develop stronger approaches to brand building, audience development, data, and acquisition.
  • Help create scalable marketing models that can support significant business growth.
  • Use data, technology, and AI to improve both effectiveness and efficiency.

We need someone who is strategic enough to help shape the future of the function, but operational enough to get into the detail and improve execution.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years events marketing experience, ideally gained within b2b conferences/exhibitions.
  • 2+ management experience, with proven ability to coach and motivate staff effectively.
  • Experience with digital marketing (SEO & SEM, social media, etc.).
  • Bachelor level education or equivalent – ideally within marketing or communications.
