About the company

A global B2B events business known for producing major international conferences for senior executives, with a fast growing division focused on energy and manufacturing running a portfolio of large scale international events each year.

Role responsibilities

  • Set and deliver the marketing strategy for a division running a portfolio of major international events each year
  • Lead, develop and grow a team of marketers and an editorial function, including future hiring
  • Report on key marketing performance indicators and share results with senior leadership on a regular basis
  • Run and share the results of a marketing test every month to keep the team's approach sharp
  • Own editorial strategy and content direction across the event portfolio
  • Work closely with production, sales and other departments to hit shared business goals
  • Track competitor activity and emerging marketing methods to keep the division ahead of the curve

Candidate background

  • 6+ years marketing experience, ideally gained in B2B publishing, conferences, events or exhibitions
  • At least 2 years managing and developing a team, with a genuine ability to coach and motivate
  • Strong digital marketing skills across SEO, SEM and social media
  • Commercially minded, comfortable owning budgets and reporting on ROI
  • A confident communicator able to work with stakeholders at every level
  • Self driven and able to manage multiple priorities independently
