Divisional Portfolio & Asset Surveyor - North

Screwfix now operates 1,000+ stores across the UK, Ireland and France and has opened around one store per week for over a decade. As the business continues to grow, W Talent Property & Real Estate are partnering with Screwfix to appoint a Divisional Portfolio & Asset Surveyor to support the performance and optimisation of one of the UK's most active retail property portfolios.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Divisional Portfolio & Asset Manager, you'll support the delivery of regional estate strategies, helping manage lease events, optimise portfolio performance, control occupancy costs and identify opportunities to create value across the estate. This is a highly commercial role offering exposure to lease negotiations, portfolio analysis, asset management initiatives and stakeholder management within a market-leading retail occupier. This is a remote role, joining a collaborative Property team who are based across the UK. This role will be focussed on the property portfolio across the North of the UK which spans from the Midlands to Scotland.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
