Divisional Sales Director
London – hybrid
Up to £70k + bonus
We’re working with a highly established and growing corporate events business on the lookout for an experienced sales leader to take the reins of one of its sponsorship sales divisions.
This is a newly created position, following an internal promotion, and offers the opportunity to step into an established team with a strong track record, whilst playing a key role in the next stage of the company’s growth.
With a growing event portfolio and further launches planned over the next 12 months, there is plenty of opportunity to make a real impact driving this motivated sales team to future success.
The Role
You’ll take overall responsibility for leading and developing a high-performing sponsorship sales team, driving revenue across the portfolio of international events.
You’ll inherit an experienced team with established revenue streams and ambitious individual targets, so the focus will be on leading, developing and maximising an already successful sales function, rather than building something from scratch.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading, motivating and developing a results driven sponsorship sales team
- Taking ownership of divisional sales performance and revenue delivery across a portfolio of international events.
- Setting clear expectations and targets across the team and managing performance against them
- Coaching and mentoring salespeople to maximise their individual performance
- Identifying opportunities to improve sales processes, activity and commercial performance
- Supporting the growth and development of the existing event portfolio
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to identify and deliver commercial opportunities
- Playing an active role in recruitment, onboarding and developing new team members
- Managing performance effectively, including addressing underperformance where required and having difficult conversations if needed
- Helping shape the future direction of the division as the business continues to grow
- Attending events, both in the UK and internationally throughout the course of the year.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
