Divisional Used Car Manager
JLR Division – regionally based role

We are looking for an experienced automotive leader with a strong background in used vehicle performance, stock management and commercial decision-making to join our JLR team as a Divisional Used Car Manager. The role includes travel to our JLR sites from Nottingham to Tonbridge.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence and shape used vehicle performance across multiple retailers, working closely with Heads of Business, Sales Managers and dealership teams to drive sales, profitability and operational excellence. Your Journey as a Divisional Used Car Manager
- You will drive a consistent used vehicle pricing and stock management strategy across the division, ensuring vehicles remain competitively positioned and commercially optimised throughout their lifecycle.
- Lead divisional vehicle acquisition and stock mix decisions, ensuring retailers hold the right volume and profile of vehicles to meet customer demand and maximise profitability.
- Monitor stock age, stock turn and speed to market, proactively identifying opportunities to reduce ageing stock and minimise depreciation exposure.
- Optimise vehicle performance across the division by identifying opportunities to relocate, reprice, remarket or dispose of stock to maximise return on investment.
- Drive high standards of vehicle preparation and digital merchandising, ensuring vehicles are presented effectively and consistently across all online platforms.
- Utilise data, reporting and market intelligence to challenge and improve performance across sales volume, gross profit, preparation costs, stock turn and wholesale performance.
- Provide insight into competitor activity, residual values, customer demand and emerging market trends, helping the division respond quickly to opportunities and risks.
- Lead regular performance and stock reviews with dealership leadership teams, creating accountability, sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with Heads of Business, Sales, Aftersales, Finance and Marketing teams, influencing performance through coaching, support and commercial challenge.

- An experienced automotive professional with a proven track record in used vehicle operations and sales management.
- Commercially focused, with the ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and make informed decisions that drive profitability and performance.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to balance multiple priorities across a diverse regional operation.
- A confident communicator who can influence, coach and challenge stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer outcomes through effective stock management, vehicle presentation and operational excellence.
- Adaptable and proactive, able to respond quickly to changing market conditions and evolving business priorities.
