DMC Repairs Operative (Damp, Mould & Condensation)
Nottingham, Clifton
£28,834 - 33,799 per annum
NCHA is recruiting a Damp, Mould & Condensation Repairs Operative to support our property repairs service across Nottingham.
This role focuses on identifying, treating and preventing damp, mould and condensation in our homes.
You will provide high-quality repairs, diagnose issues confidently and help tenants understand how to prevent problems returning.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose damp, mould and condensation issues
- Complete repairs including plastering, resealing, grouting, painting and general maintenance
- Carry out calcium carbide testing and record findings
- Clean and maintain gutters as required
- Advise tenants on prevention and good home practice
- Maintain tools and equipment correctly
- Work with internal teams to meet repair targets
- Keep accurate job notes and communicate updates clearly

What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of damp, mould and condensation causes and treatments
- Experience in property repairs or building maintenance
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks
- Professional and respectful when working in tenants homes
Experience in social housing is helpful but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are important.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
- 1-hour lunch break (30 minutes on Friday)

- Driving licence and access to a vehicle is required unless a disability precludes this
- Visa sponsorship is not available
- Vacancy may close early if we receive a high number of applications

- A basic DBS will be arranged and paid for by NCHA
