DNO Operations Executive
£30,000–£33,000 depending on experience | Full-time | Fully Remote (UK)
DNO Renewables is a fast-growing UK grid connections specialist supporting renewable energy installers, EPCs and developers across Great Britain.
We manage the grid connection process for our clients, from G98, G99 and G100 applications through to supporting documentation, DNO liaison, approval and commissioning.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced DNO Operations Executive to join our Operations team and work closely with our Head of Operations.
This role requires previous DNO/grid connection experience. We're looking for someone who already understands the application process and can quickly take ownership of projects while learning the DNO Renewables systems and way of working.
Reporting to: Head of Operations
The role
- Prepare, review and submit G98, G99 and other DNO applications
- Manage applications from initial project information through to DNO approval and commissioning
- Liaise directly with DNOs, installers and clients to resolve queries and keep projects progressing
- Review project information and supporting documentation before submission
- Maintain accurate project records, documentation and application statuses
- Proactively monitor and chase outstanding applications with DNOs
- Respond to DNO technical queries and requests for further information
- Manage incoming project enquiries and client communications
- Work closely with the wider Operations team to maintain a high standard of service
- Help improve internal processes and workflows as DNO Renewables continues to scale

What we're looking for
- Previous DNO/grid connection experience is essential
- Practical experience preparing, submitting or managing DNO applications
- Good working knowledge of G98 and G99 application processes
- Experience liaising directly with DNOs and dealing with application queries
- Strong understanding of the information and documentation required for DNO applications
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple live applications and priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable using online systems, spreadsheets and digital tools
- Someone who takes ownership of their workload and follows projects through to completion
- Experience within solar PV, battery storage, EV charging or wider renewable energy would be advantageous
