Research and Doctoral College

Our research is engaged, at the frontier of practice and has a positive impact on the world around us.

The Doctoral College at City St George's supports doctoral researchers across six academic Schools and three campuses. This role is based at the Clerkenwell campus supporting two Schools, the School of Policy and Global Affairs and the School of Communication and Creativity, and contributing to the delivery of the Doctoral College's strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The postholder will act as the primary point of contact for academics and doctoral researchers within the designated Schools. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing student records and progression processes
  • Producing regular reports for academic and professional services colleagues
  • Administering applications and admissions processes
  • Coordinating viva examinations
  • Servicing School committees
  • Supporting on-campus and off-campus doctoral activities
  • Processing payments for funded students

Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience in higher education administration, preferably within a doctoral research environment. They will have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders and will be able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across teams.
