You will improve how information is classified, stored, accessed and retained, working closely with data protection, data and application support teams.

This role is focused on turning a recent move to SharePoint into a consistent, compliant and practical way of working.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement an organisation-wide document management and information governance framework.
- Establish clear policies, standards and ownership covering classification, metadata, access, retention and disposal.
- Own the ongoing improvement of SharePoint document libraries, content types, metadata, permissions and search.
- Review migrated content and address duplicated, obsolete, incorrectly classified or poorly controlled information.
- Translate GDPR and applicable records management requirements into practical controls and working processes.
- Deliver regular audits, identify control gaps and drive agreed remediation.
- Partner with the Data Protection Officer, Head of Data & Intelligence and Head of Application Support to align governance, compliance and system ownership.
- Engage teams across the organisation to understand how they create, use and manage information.
- Create guidance and training that enables employees to follow the agreed standards.
- Track compliance, adoption and information risks, providing clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
