Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded legal firm in Edinburgh for a Legal Document Production Specialist.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced document production professional with advanced Microsoft Word skills to join a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing and maintaining high-quality legal documentation while supporting the wider business with technical expertise and document management best practices.

Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Salary: £30,000-£32,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce, format, amend and proofread complex legal documents to an exceptionally high standard.
  • Create accurate documentation from digital dictation and transcription platforms.
  • Ensure all documentation is consistent with firm branding, formatting standards and quality requirements.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, delivering work accurately within strict deadlines.
  • Support the development, maintenance and enhancement of Microsoft Word templates, styles and document automation solutions.
  • Troubleshoot document formatting and technical issues, providing effective solutions and guidance to colleagues.
  • Build strong working relationships across the business, providing support to legal and administrative teams.
  • Assist with departmental and firm-wide projects, contributing technical expertise where required.
  • Share knowledge and best practice with colleagues to support continuous improvement and development.
  • Adapt quickly to new technologies, systems and processes within the business.

  • Previous experience within a document production, legal support, document formatting, or technical document-focused role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Word.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and thrive in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Experience working within the legal sector would be highly advantageous.
