Document Controller – Hinkley Point C

Salary: Competitive
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join a busy project team working at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established contractor working on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation, supporting document management processes and ensuring information is controlled and accessible to the relevant project teams.
The Role
- Manage the receipt, distribution, tracking and filing of project documentation.
- Maintain document registers and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure documents are correctly numbered, version controlled and issued in accordance with project procedures.
- Upload and manage documentation through relevant document management systems.
- Coordinate the review and approval of technical and project documentation.
- Monitor outstanding documents and follow up with relevant teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain electronic and hard-copy filing systems and ensure documentation is readily available for audits.
- Assist with project reporting, document searches and general administration as required.
- Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, clients and other stakeholders regarding document control requirements.

About You
- Previous experience in a Document Controller or similar document management role.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working with document management systems and controlled documentation.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
- Previous experience within construction, engineering, nuclear or major infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
- Ability to pass relevant BPSS vetting and drug & alcohol testing.
