Document Controller – Super-Prime Residential
Location: Central London – site based
Contract: Outside IR35, 12 months
The Opportunity
A development, project and cost management consultancy is seeking a Document Controller to support the delivery of a super-prime residential scheme in Central London.
The role will focus on luxury interior fit-out, including bespoke finishes and specialist wellness and leisure facilities. With materials and services procured internationally, accurate document management and coordination will be essential to support project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring accurate filing, version control, and distribution.
- Upload, issue, and track drawings, technical submissions, correspondence, and other records through the project’s document management system.
- Ensure the project team and trade contractors have access to the latest approved information.
- Maintain document registers, submission schedules, and trackers, following up on outstanding information to avoid delays.
- Coordinate document flow between the client, consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
- Support the project team with meeting minutes, action logs, progress trackers, and general administration.
- Maintain records relating to internationally procured materials and specialist packages.
- Support the collation of handover documentation, including as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.

- Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction.
- Experience on high-end residential, hospitality, or interior fit-out projects would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of document management systems such as Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint 4Projects, or similar.
- Understanding of drawing revisions, document approval processes, and information distribution.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to follow up with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using digital reporting and tracking tools.
- Ability to work on site within a busy project delivery team.
