Our client is a growing, family-run construction business with an established Earthworks Division. They are looking to appoint an organised and proactive Document Controller to join their team at their Ipswich headquarters, with regular visits to live construction sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within the construction industry. Previous Document Controller experience is not essential, and the position would suit someone with a background in construction administration, project support, coordination or another organised office-based role.

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider project and site teams, ensuring that project documentation is accurately maintained, organised and communicated effectively.

  • Maintaining and organising project documentation and records.
  • Ensuring documents are accurately filed, updated and easily accessible.
  • Supporting the wider project and site teams with document control and administrative requirements.
  • Coordinating information between the office, site teams and relevant stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the management and distribution of project documentation.
  • Ensuring documentation is maintained accurately and in line with company procedures.
  • Carrying out regular site visits to support document control requirements across live projects.
  • Providing general administrative and project support where required.

About You

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with strong communication and IT skills.

Previous experience as a Document Controller is not essential. We would also welcome applications from candidates who have worked in:

You Will Need

  • Excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills.

  • A full UK driving licence, due to the requirement for regular site visits.
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within the construction industry.
