We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and distributing project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with company and project procedures. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.

Duties

  • Managing and maintaining project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Uploading, distributing, and filing drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Ensuring all project documents are accurately recorded, version controlled, and up to date.
  • Monitoring document revisions and ensuring the latest versions are issued to the project team.
  • Maintaining document registers, trackers, and filing systems.
  • Liaising with the site team, consultants, subcontractors, and clients regarding project documentation.
  • Assisting with the preparation and distribution of reports, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
  • Archiving completed project documentation in line with company procedures.
  • Ensuring document control processes are followed and maintained throughout the project.
  • Supporting the project team with general administrative duties where required.

  • Previous experience as a Document Controller, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, 4Projects, or similar) is preferred.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of construction documentation and project processes is desirable.
