Park Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a leading specialist in the data centre construction sector to recruit an experienced Document Controller for a major project based in Blyth, UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering large-scale, technically complex projects across Europe. As the project continues to grow, you'll play a key role in ensuring all project documentation is managed accurately and efficiently throughout the construction lifecycle.

The Role

As Document Controller, you'll be responsible for maintaining and coordinating all project documentation, ensuring information is accurately recorded, distributed, and controlled in line with company procedures and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain document control systems, processes, and procedures throughout the project.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurately recorded, distributed, filed, and easily accessible.
  • Control the issue and revision of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate documentation between project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Maintain document registers, trackers, and logs, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure documentation complies with company standards.
  • Manage document revisions, ensuring stakeholders always have access to the latest versions.
  • Support QA/QC processes by maintaining controlled and traceable documentation.
  • Produce document control reports and monitor outstanding documentation.
  • Ensure the secure storage, archiving, and retrieval of project records.
  • Attend project meetings where required to support document management activities.
  • Identify and escalate any document control issues when necessary.

About You

  • 2-4 years' experience in a Document Controller position within the construction or engineering sector - essential.
  • Previous experience supporting live construction projects.
  • Previous experience on data centre, industrial, or other mission-critical projects would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in document management platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Viewpoint, or similar systems.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A qualification in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related discipline is desirable.
