About the role
Help keep vital projects moving by making sure the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
As a Document Controller, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate, accessible, and compliant project information, supporting teams across the East region to deliver critical infrastructure safely and efficiently.
Why this role matters
Good information underpins every successful project. In this role, you'll help project teams make informed decisions by ensuring documentation is accurate, controlled, and readily available throughout the project lifecycle.
Working within the East region, you'll support projects across a strategically important part of the transmission network. From pre-construction activities through to delivery, your work will help maintain high standards, support collaboration, and contribute to safe, reliable operations. If you enjoy bringing structure, quality, and organisation to complex environments, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact while developing your career.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
