THE TEAM
Join the Power Operations team at JSM Group Services Ltd., a leading provider of integrated utility infrastructure solutions. Our combination of end-to-end technical expertise, decades of industry experience, and unlimited fresh thinking makes us a trusted partner in delivering next-generation connectivity in energy and communications across the UK, Europe, and beyond.
Our Power team delivers high-value electrical infrastructure projects for some of the most demanding clients in the sector – from hyperscale data centre operators to major industrial and grid clients. We are building a team of exceptional project management professionals who can drive complex programmes from award through to energisation, and we want people who take real ownership of their projects.
SCOPE OF ROLE
As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing the document control systems, ensuring that all records, files, and documents are securely stored, maintained, and distributed to relevant teams. You will play a key role in upholding document control procedures, maintaining compliance, and supporting various departments with document management needs.

HOW YOU`LL SUCCEED
- Implementing and maintaining document control procedures and standards to ensure consistency across the organisation
- Managing electronic document management systems (EDMS) to ensure proper organisation, version control, and accessibility of documents
- Collaborating with different departments and project teams to understand their document control needs and provide solutions
- Ensuring compliance with document control policies and industry regulations
- Reviewing and verifying documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to required standards
- Tracking and reporting on document status, distribution, and retrieval times
- Coordinating document review and approval processes, ensuring timely completion
- Maintaining document archives and ensuring proper disposal of obsolete or outdated files
- Promoting the JSM Group brand through professional and proactive document control practices
WHAT IT TAKES
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a relevant field
- Previous experience in document control roles
- Strong knowledge of document control processes, procedures, and best practices
- Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) (e.g., Procore, Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint 4 Projects, BIM 360)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve document control issues
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to document control
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
