An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Document Controller to join an established construction business on a permanent, site-based position in Ealing, West London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining project documentation, ensuring information is accurately controlled, distributed and kept up to date throughout the project. You will work closely with the project and site teams to ensure all stakeholders have access to the correct information when required.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and maintaining project documentation and information
- Controlling the issue, distribution and revision of drawings, documents and technical information
- Maintaining document registers and ensuring project records are kept accurate and up to date
- Uploading, distributing and tracking documents through project document management systems
- Monitoring document revisions and ensuring superseded information is correctly controlled
- Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring drawings, specifications, reports and other project information are issued to the correct stakeholders
- Tracking outstanding documentation, approvals and responses
- Supporting the project team with reports, registers and general project administration
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of handover and project completion documentation
- Ensuring project information is properly recorded and maintained throughout the construction process
- Identifying and resolving document control issues proactively

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience working as a Document Controller within a construction or engineering environment
- Good understanding of construction documentation, drawings, revisions and document management processes
- Previous experience working within a site-based construction or project environment
- Ability to manage large volumes of information accurately and efficiently
- Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities
- Based within a commutable distance of Ealing / West London and able to work site based
