We are currently recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join the Major Projects division of a leading contractor, working on a long-term project based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Document Controller with a strong M&E, MEP or Building Services background to join a major project.

The Role

As Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining project documentation across a busy major project environment, working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and the wider project team.

The role is fully site-based, 5 days per week, at the project's Holborn site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day document control function for the project.
  • Maintain accurate document registers and ensure all documentation is correctly recorded and controlled.
  • Manage the upload, distribution and tracking of drawings and technical documentation.
  • Monitor document revisions, approvals and status.
  • Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure project information is issued and distributed to the relevant parties.
  • Maintain accurate electronic filing and document management systems.
  • Support project teams with document queries and information requests.
  • Assist with project close-out and the compilation of relevant documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Systems Experience

Experience with Viewpoint / 4Projects is highly desirable.

The wider project team also uses Asite and Aconex, so experience with either of these systems would be advantageous.

However, strong M&E / Building Services Document Control experience is the key requirement, and candidates with experience of other CDE/document management platforms will also be considered.

If you're an experienced M&E / Building Services Document Controller looking for a long-term opportunity on a major London project, we'd love to hear from you.
