Document Controller

Are you passionate about document control and looking for your next opportunity?

We’re looking for a Document Controller to join a project team in Bristol, where you will be taking responsibility for the management, coordination, and maintenance of project information and documentation across this project, and the next.

This is a major key role within the project team, as you’ll be acting as the central point of contact for how information is controlled, traced, and managed effectively through delivery to handover, and from project initiation through to completion and handover on the next project.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing management of Information Management processes
  • Providing training and support to project teams and the supply chain
  • Monitoring compliance with Information Management protocols
  • Managing user access and permissions within project systems
  • Controlling document numbering, naming conventions, and workflows
  • Carrying out data and document checks
  • Monitoring document submissions, reviews, and deadlines
  • Producing reports and using data analytics to provide project insight
  • Supporting continuous improvement across Information Management processes and systems

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced within main contracting / construction
  • Experienced working in a site-based environment
  • Confident working with ISO 19650 principles and information management processes
  • Experienced with a CDE/EDMS platform/s
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Confident challenging and influencing project teams when required
  • Collaborative and able to build strong relationships across clients, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Flexible, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Passionate about improving the way project information is managed
