Document Controller | Construction

An experienced construction Document Controller looking for greater flexibility?
Tristram Parker Recruitment is recruiting for an established construction-products business offering fully remote working and flexibility around working hours, including school drop-offs and pick-ups.
The business is open to discussing a working pattern that suits the right person, with a preference for shorter hours across five days. A pattern such as 10am–3pm could be considered, subject to agreement.
The Role
You’ll manage drawings and technical documentation across several internal teams, ensuring information is accurate, organised and up to date.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing document registers, filing systems and drawing revisions.
- Checking document information, dates and versions, and raising discrepancies with the relevant team.
- Controlling the issue and distribution of drawings to prevent outdated information being used.
- Maintaining clear records across teams and helping colleagues access the correct documentation.
- Reading and interpreting roofing and specification drawings to support accurate document control.

What We’re Looking For
This opportunity would suit someone with established document control experience within construction and the confidence to work independently.
You’ll need:
- Strong experience managing construction drawings and technical documents.
- The ability to read and understand drawings, ideally relating to roofing, waterproofing, façades or the wider building envelope.
- Excellent attention to detail and a thorough understanding of revision and version control.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to coordinate information across multiple teams while working remotely.

The Package
- £35,000–£45,000, depending on relevant experience and agreed working hours.
- The upper end is aimed at a highly experienced construction Document Controller with closely matched sector and drawing knowledge.
- Fully remote working from anywhere in England.
- Flexible hours, with part-time arrangements considered.
- Bonus eligibility and company benefits.
The salary applicable to your proposed working pattern will be discussed individually.
