BAM UK & Ireland's Infrastructure segment are recruiting for a Document Controller on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to support the senior Document Controller managing the document workflow process on KierBam’s JV at Hinkley Point C. The purpose is to maintain an upstream and downstream communication of documents in a timely manner.
Making Possible
As Document Controller, You Will Be Responsible For
- To process the Project’s documents via Common Data Environments (CDE). E.g. SharePoint / Microsoft Teams, Client (Teamcenter), Kier (ProjectWise) portal and CEMAR.
- Provide support to the site team to access documents and records in a timely and controlled manner
- Support the communication and embedding of KierBam’s approach to document control
- Manage document structures within the common data environment in accordance with the project requirements
- Support document version control
- Accessing client portals and recording communication
- Downloading docs from portal or e-mail
- Uploading document to relevant platforms – i.e. SharePoint, ProjectWise, Teamcenter, etc and storing in the folder structure and keeping version control up to date
- Supporting the creation of document control registers
- Issuing updates / registers to the team

What do you bring to the role?
Essential
- Experience in Document Control on construction projects or in Preconstruction teams (or similar environments) dealing with distribution of documents, drawings, comments and RFI’s.
- Experience in Office 365 and SharePoint
- Competent in Microsoft Office including Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint
- Detailed knowledge of Document Control / Information Management processes
- Strong organisational skills
- Analytical Skills – can identify hidden problems utilising honest analysis and probing techniques
- Problem solving - uses rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions, probes for relevant answers
- Listening, engaging and able to listen and communicate effectively with others
- Good internal stakeholder management skills
- Attention to detail
- Time management
- Proactive approach to work
- Working as part of a team to deliver objective of the department and wider business
- Collaborative, Trusted, Focused
Desirable
- Have knowledge and worked with Teamcenter (Client’s internet-based Document Control portal).
- Have knowledge and worked with ProjectWise (KierBam’s internet-based Document Control portal).
- Have knowledge of CEMAR
