Document Controller Opportunity in Bristol

We are currently recruiting for a Document Controller to join one of our well-established clients in Bristol.

About the Client

Our client is a leading UK-based contractor specializing in RC Frame or Groundworks.

Project Location: Bristol, UK
Salary: £30K - £35K (depending upon experience)

Skills & Requirements:

  • Create, monitor, and maintain electronic drawing records, ensuring all documents are current and accurate.
  • Manage the control, distribution, and filing of drawings; ensure all drawings are date-stamped, logged, and superseded correctly.
  • Archive all previous drawing revisions and maintain clear historical records.
  • Support the administration and coordination of BREEAM documentation and folder structures.
  • Liaise directly with the client’s design team on documentation queries and submissions.
  • Carry out QA checks on information issued to site teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Compile Health & Safety Files and O&M Manuals; maintain trackers for all relevant documentation.
  • Ensure all project documentation returned to Head Office meets ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Provide occasional cover for the Office Coordinator when required.
  • Maintain compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety procedures under ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS 45001.
  • Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety Policy at all times.
  • Participate in CPD activities, training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to company-wide Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
  • Undertake additional duties as needed for the effective performance of the role.

Desirable Experience:

  • Proven administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing information methodically and accurately.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Setting up and maintaining electronic filing systems.
  • Previous administrative experience within the construction industry.
  • Competence using DWG viewers and Adobe software.
