We're supporting our client in the appointment of a Document Controller to join their Aberdeen-based team.
Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll play a key role in ensuring project documentation is accurately maintained, controlled and distributed. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative business where attention to detail, strong communication skills and a proactive approach are highly valued.
This is a 9-12 month contract position, working 32 hours per week across 4 or 5 days, offering flexibility alongside the opportunity to support a busy project environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining project documentation, ensuring records are accurate, up to date and easily accessible. Working closely with Project Managers and wider project teams, you'll help ensure document control processes are followed to a high standard, supporting the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain project documentation and document control systems.
- Ensure documents are correctly logged, tracked, distributed, and archived.
- Coordinate document submissions to clients and monitor approvals and revisions.
- Maintain accurate document registers and project records.
- Support project teams with document-related queries and requests.
- Prepare document status reports and highlight any delays or issues.
- Assist with audit requirements and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Support project close-out activities and final document handover.

About You
- Previous experience in a Document Controller, Project Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working with document management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, energy, or project-based environment would be beneficial.
