Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Aberdeen, Glasgow or Perth whilst other SSER locations can be considered.

Salary: £31,600 - £47,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Are you an organised and detail-focused Document Controller looking to contribute to major infrastructure projects that support the UK's transition to net zero? We're seeking a proactive individual to manage, control and coordinate project documentation across a large-scale, game changing capital projects, ensuring project information is accurate, accessible and managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with project teams, contractors and external partners, you'll play a key role in supporting project delivery by maintaining robust document management processes and driving continuous improvement across our document control systems.

You will

  • Manage and control project documentation, ensuring it is recorded, reviewed, distributed and maintained in accordance with project procedures.
  • Coordinate documentation received from contractors and third parties, carrying out quality checks and ensuring information is available to project stakeholders when needed.
  • Maintain document registers and provide regular reporting on document status, progress and outstanding actions.
  • Support the administration, training and ongoing use of the electronic document management system (EDMS), helping users get the most from the platform.
  • Build strong relationships across project teams and contractor organisations while identifying opportunities to improve document management processes and ways of working.

You have

  • Experience working as a Document Controller within large engineering, construction, utilities or major capital project environments.
  • A strong understanding of document control systems, governance processes and engineering documentation management.
  • Experience working with contractors, suppliers and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project setting.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a collaborative approach that values different perspectives and ways of working.
