We’re looking for an experienced MEP Document Controller to join a major, technically complex infrastructure project based in Hertfordshire.

Reporting to the Senior Document Controller, you’ll play a key role within the Interface team, ensuring project documentation is accurately controlled, compliant and issued in line with client and project requirements.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of project documentation, working closely with internal teams, clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the registration, receipt, distribution and issue of project documentation
  • Reviewing document workflows, metadata, revisions and submission requirements
  • Coordinating project deliverables and submissions to the client
  • Managing subcontractor document control throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supporting document control system users and delivering training
  • Maintaining workflow trackers and reporting on document status and compliance
  • Coordinating tender and project handover documentation
  • Attending client and subcontractor meetings
  • Ensuring documentation meets project, client and ISO 9001 requirements
  • Providing wider document control support to multidisciplinary project teams

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 4 years' Document Control experience on complex, multidisciplinary projects
  • Experience using document management systems such as ProjectWise, Business Collaborator and Enterprise Bridge
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of Document Control processes in line with ISO 9001
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities and working under pressure
  • Able to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams
