Role Description
The Dog Grooming Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Brookmans Park. The position involves supporting groomers with day-to-day grooming activities, including bathing, drying, brushing, and nail clipping. The role includes:

- Safely handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments
- Preparing grooming areas and equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the workspace
- Welcoming customers
- Assisting with check-in and check-out
- Communicating grooming instructions and updates clearly and politely

The role may involve administrative tasks such as:
- Scheduling appointments
- Updating records
- Helping ensure a positive experience for every client and their dog
Qualifications
- Must be competent with the ability to assist in bathing, drying, brushing, and nail clipping.
- Pet Care skills, including safe animal handling, monitoring pet comfort, and maintaining a calm environment.
- Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients, understand their needs, and provide clear updates.
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely in a busy grooming environment, and collaborate effectively within a small team.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn and develop grooming skills over time.
- Previous experience in a pet care, animal shelter, or grooming setting is beneficial but not required.
