Role Description
The Dog Handler role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. The Dog Handler will work with trained security dogs to support patrols, access control, and incident response at client locations. Daily tasks include:

The role involves maintaining the dog’s physical and emotional wellbeing, following company procedures, completing reports, and communicating clearly with clients, colleagues, and supervisors. The Dog Handler will also assist with basic training exercises, compliance with health and safety regulations, and adherence to legal and industry standards for security and animal welfare.
Qualifications
- Strong Animal Care and Pet Care skills to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of security dogs.
- Practical knowledge of Dog Behavior and Dog Training to safely handle, guide, and manage working dogs.
- Effective Communication skills to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or similar fields is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site, including evenings, weekends, and varied shifts as required.
- Physically fit and able to carry out patrols and handle dogs in different environments and weather conditions.
- Understanding of basic health and safety and animal welfare regulations; relevant certifications are beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport are preferred for reaching various assignments within the Manchester Area.
- Must have valid Nasdu/Team Certificate.
