Dog Walker & Animal Care Assistant
Permanent · 30 hours per week guaranteed · Irthlingborough and surrounding areas
Starting pay: £12.71 per hour, progressing to £13.20 within the first year.
First pay review after six months. Eligible team members can earn up to £300 per month through our bonus scheme.

Most days involve collecting dogs in a company van and leading structured walks. You’ll also care for cats and other pets in their homes. We provide full training and practical support.

Working pattern
This is a Monday-to-Friday role. You need to be available within our usual 08:00–17:30 working window; your daily hours depend on scheduled visits. You’ll receive your schedule the week before.
Overnight pet sitting is part of the role, shared across the team, and paid separately, usually at £50 per night. At current demand, you might expect a stay roughly once every two months. Some stays may include weekends or bank holidays.

You’ll need
- To live within approximately 7 miles of Irthlingborough
- Experience caring for animals through work, volunteering, or another practical setting
- A full UK manual driving licence and to be 21 or over under our current vehicle insurance
- To be comfortable working independently, outdoors, and with dogs of different needs
- To be available for the working pattern and a fair share of overnight stays
You won’t lead complex group walks immediately. We’ll train you in our methods and increase responsibility as you demonstrate safe handling.
