Dog Walker (Casual)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dog Walking: Safely walk dogs, ensuring they get the exercise and playtime needed.
  • Pet Care: Provide fresh water, treats (if approved by pet owners), and maintain a safe environment for each dog.
  • Basic Commands: Reinforce basic commands (e.g., sit, stay, heel) as directed by pet owners to promote good behaviour.
  • Observation: Monitor the dog’s health and behaviour, reporting any concerns (such as changes in behaviour, appetite, or injuries) to the pet owner.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with pet owners, providing updates as needed.
  • Safety Protocols: Use secure leashes/harnesses, avoid encounters with unknown animals, and ensure dogs are always safe.
  • Scheduling Flexibility: Adapt to the dog’s schedule, weather conditions, and last-minute client needs.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all duties.
  • Additional Tasks: Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
