About Methods

Methods is a £100M+ IT Services Consultancy, specialising in transforming public sector operations within the UK. With over 30 years of experience, Methods applies expertise in transformation, delivery, and collaboration to create people-centred, safe, and future-proof business and technical solutions.

Unlike other consultancies or software firms, Methods places people, technology, and data at its core, emphasising value creation and sustainability across its work with clients, staff, communities, and the planet. Collaboration and continuous learning are key, with Methods believing in working hard, having fun, and learning from mistakes.

While primarily focused on the public sector, Methods is actively expanding its client portfolio into the private sector. In early 2022, Methods was acquired by Alten Group, a global engineering firm employing ~57,000 people across engineering and IT services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
