Job Title: Domestic Assistant

Location: Glebedale School, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 3AY

Salary: £8,864.25 per annum / £13.25 per hour (not pro rata)

Hours: 15 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 3:15pm to 6:15pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

At Glebedale School, we believe every role has a purpose — and as our new Domestic Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the young people we support.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone reliable, friendly, and ready to roll up their sleeves. You’ll be part of our Facilities Team, helping to keep the school clean, tidy, and running smoothly. No two days are the same — from general daily cleaning to supporting special deep-cleaning projects during school holidays, your attention to detail will help create a space our students and staff are proud of.

While experience is a bonus, what matters most is your can-do attitude, trustworthiness, and willingness to get stuck in.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily cleaning tasks across classrooms, corridors, and shared areas
  • Clean fixtures, fittings, floors, walls, and internal woodwork in line with cleaning schedules
  • Maintain toilets, changing rooms, and other sanitary areas to high standards
  • Help with deep-cleaning programmes during school closures or designated breaks
  • Collect and dispose of waste safely and efficiently
  • Refill and replace supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and hand towels
  • Keep cleaning materials organised and stored securely

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
